The knowledge junction like cyber café is to be paying tax under Entertainment Tax, in Maharashtra.

The State Revenue Minister, Narayan Rane thinks cyber cafés are entertainment centers and need to be taxed under Entertainment Tax. Implementing this will probably increase user charge in cyber cafés. People visit cyber cafes for gaining knowledge, blogging, transactions, giving online exams, etc. Cyber cafés are for students as well as professionals.

There are many people from Pune quoted in the source of this article, criticizing the government on the sayings of Narayan Rane.
