first of all, GOW3 is a hack n slash genre, and reach is n FPS, reach been n sandbox design, while gow3 has some brilliant presentation n epic scale size….still gow3 is fun to play n at present its the best looking game on console…. so rejoice.
so far the only advantage ps3 is having is the disk space…which really was a good move on sony's part.
ps3 devs can stream uncompressed texture to the game, but that too at a cost.. blu-ray mem access is not that fast enough to shuffle 50gigs of data, so a mandotary game install on HDD, anyways .. please dont comment on halo reach or alan wake or any other game, as those games are still in betas….
I don't really know much about PS3's and Xbox, both consoles are equally good. About the commenting on beta's… without criticism there can't be any improvement, if i say a developer "Wow! great job best game ever" for the worst game ever, more chances are he will stop improving it more, although i agree saying "this game sucks" is not good, but giving tips about how to improve is good.
Which game are you pointing out? God of War 3? Don't say 'not good' unless you haven't tried it… Do agree with zakster2 but Halo Reach may be delayed because of the comeback of Kratos. In terms of graphics, gameplay, presentation, God of War 3 have already beat all the existing game. Bungie would probably try to make more and effective improvements to Halo Reach to be compared to God of War 3. Alan Wake was in a production since years and the recent official in-game videos, demos, are not even so compared to Uncharted 2…
Xbox 360 is a powerful console than PS3, there's no doubt for it, only lacks the goodness of Blu-Ray. Developers are restricted to a very certain limit to develop games in DVD… even the seperate HD DVD of 360 is now discontiued…
i was not talking about any specific game… i never said God of War 3 is "not good", about the xbox vs. ps3, this debate have been there for long time without a good end result, i think they both are equal, if xbox has better GPU, PS3 has blueray, as mentioned only downside of PS3 is the PSN, from what i have seen/heard it has more downtime than the xbox network.
