Twitter – Go Secure

Twitter’s now taking important steps to prevent further twitter attacks, that had, to users and itself.

Posted on March 9, on official Twitter blog, “Today, we’re launching a new service to protect users that strikes a major blow against phishing and other deceitful attacks. By routing all links submitted to Twitter through this new service, we can detect, intercept, and prevent the spread of bad links across all of Twitter. Even if a bad link is already sent out in an email notification and somebody clicks on it, we’ll be able keep that user safe.”

The Twitter’s new ‘anti-phishing’ service is quite promising. It happened in February, that many Twitter users were tweeted with a link that would open up a fake Twitter login page, and that many users’ twitter accounts were exposed to the hackers. Considering those attacks, Twitter have now come up with the service that detects every link made on twitter.com and will make necessary actions against the one tweeting and the website.
